IHT Planner
IHT Planner is a private UK inheritance tax planner for Android. It shows a person's inheritance tax position today, projects it year by year, and lets them test strategies such as gifts, trusts and pensions against doing nothing.
- ✦Private by Design: No account, sign-in or tracking. The plan stays on the device, and the app has no servers of its own to send it to.

The calculation engine models nil-rate bands, the residence nil-rate band and its taper, and the lower 36% rate for estates leaving 10% to charity, then projects growth, inflation, living costs and care costs over a chosen period.
Each calculation documents what it deliberately leaves out, and is covered by unit tests and Playwright end-to-end runs.
Plans are saved as scenarios on the device. They can also be exported as a file protected by a passphrase only the user knows, and reopened later or on another device.
Android cloud backup is disabled, and private mode removes the plan from the phone at the end of a session, leaving only the encrypted file.
The Vite and React web app is wrapped with Capacitor and released on Google Play. Baseline position, plan, glossary and workings are free.
A single one-off Play purchase unlocks the strategy screens, with no subscription.
